Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an environmentally sensitive way of managing pests.
It uses a combination of practices and control methods with the aim of preventing problems from occurring and reducing the need for chemical pesticides.
This workshop will cover topics including: What are pests?; What are beneficial insects?; The ‘pest triangle’; and Creating a 5-step Integrated Pest Management System. Participants will also get the chance to use a refractometer to see the difference between a diseased plant and a healthy plant and learn why this is important. Presented by permaculturalist and educator, Fiona Blackham.
This workshop is suitable for adults and children aged 14 and over
